SATURDAY:

Mountain Bike Tour

Explore the inner soul and surrounds of Strzelecki National Park on an easy to ride mountain bike. This remote and rugged track we have access to is nature and existence at its best.  When our ride concludes, we have a gourmet lunch in the most delightful local vineyard, Unavale.

Tours include two local guides, transport, bike, morning tea, gourmet lunch, drink bottle.

Mountain Bike Hire

If you want to explore on a pair of hired wheels, then our mountain bikes and town bikes are also available for hire. There are interesting trails and back country roads everywhere you go. Easy to Ride TREK mountain bikes $80 per day.

Lions Club of Flinders Market

Community based market with local residents and not for profit organisations holding stalls to promote sale of goods, raffles and island crafts.  Plenty of delicious food on offer.

SUNDAY:

Main Event: Road Bike Ride

The ride will commence at 9 am at Lady Barron and will follow the Lady Barron Main road towards Whitemark, turning right into Lackrana Road and then following Memana Road to Whitemark then onto Lady Barron Road finishing at “Wonderland” just past the turnoff to Yellow Beach. The total distance is approx. 80kms.

An alternative ride will commence from Bakery Park in Whitemark (the main town) and conclude as above. The distance of this ride is approx. 26 km. This ride will join riders undertaking the full circuit. This year’s ride will take place on Sunday 8th May 2020.

Mountain Biking Downhill Family Adventure

Whilst the long distance riders are convincing their legs that they can do it, Mountain Biking Flinders Island are hosting the family downhill adventure ride. Approx. 5km, this fun ride is for people of all ages and children are especially encouraged to ride. Beginning with a view on top of Vinegar Hill, this ride takes place on dirt tracks with some fun navigating along the way. Ride ends at “Wonderland”, the hosting property where all rides end and where lunch will be served.

Delicious BBQ

Lions Club provide a healthy and delicious BBQ feast at the end of the ride. The riders entry fee includes the BBQ at the end. The food includes BBQ meat (vegetarians catered for), lots of salads and scrumptious desserts.

Non riders are welcomed and encouraged to attend the BBQ at a cost of $10 per head.

Auction

An auction of donated items is held at the end of the BBQ to raise extra funds for Lions International Sight First Campaign.
